Backed by real research done by PlanEvents.ca in 2019, the PlanEvents.ca team figured out a way to predict the cost of an Indian wedding based on the size of the guest list, the amenities and services to be used, and how lavish the wedding will be.
The prediction capability has been built into PlanEvents.ca’s Indian wedding cost estimator tool, which is free for site members. During the COVID19, PlanEvents.ca discovered that many Indian brides were losing their deposits because some of their vendors would not allow them to change their dates and/or would not refund security deposits.
To help solve for that, PlanEvents.ca launched the wedding vendor deposit marketplace so that brides could sell their lost deposits, to other brides.
The marketplace creates a win-win situation for brides who have lost their deposits, and brides who haven’t booked their vendors yet. A third wedding planning resource can be seen with PlanEvents.ca’s podcast.
Titled the Desi Wedding Podcast, the PlanEvents.ca team brings on relevant and in-demand personalities from the wedding industry. Examples of some of the podcast’s guests include and are not limited to reputable lawyers in the area, as well as key entertainers from the Indian wedding industry.

The podcast produces 1 to 2 episodes per month, and brings on guests that listeners will benefit from. A final popular resource can be seen with PlanEvents.ca’s annual vendor rankings.
Every year, PlanEvents.ca publishes the top Indian hair and makeup artists, mehndi artists, bridal boutiques, photographers, and more. The rankings are based off a variety of proprietary criterion, in addition to factoring in the user reviews and ratings left by customers on the website.
The annual publication is then distributed to clients and vendors, so that good vendors are rewarded, and couples can receive curated vendor lists based on vendor performance.
