Ace Hotel

Ace Hotel

Seattle’s Ace Hotel has so many positives they have created a place that attracts hip, young, fun-loving people.

First, location.   Close to the Pike Place Market and the rest of downtown, this Belltown hotel is also not too far from the waterfront, the Olympic Sculpture Garden, and the Seattle Center with the Space Needle and the Experience Music Project.   Jump on a ferry for a quintessential Seattle experience.   Walk to the downtown stores, too, or even Pioneer Square.  Short bus or cab rides away are other interesting Seattle neighborhoods such as Capitol Hill, Ballard, and the professional sports venues.  You could even be at the University of Washington campus in about 15 minutes.

Second, rooms and rates.  If you prefer to spend your dollars on food and entertainment, the Ace Hotel has clean white rooms with a sink and vanity but lavatory down the hall. High windows and ceilings offer a feeling of airiness.   Otherwise, if you prefer complete privacy, the deluxe rooms have full facilities.   You’ll be amazed to realize that this was once a maritime flophouse.
With only 28 rooms, it is a nifty boutique hotel with lots of “green” elements. They have used repurposed furniture, and put it together in a bohemian fashion.

The Belltown district is one of the best in the city for music and restaurants so combine the great sightseeing base location with the nightlife and music scene and this is a can’t miss place to stay.  No need to leave the hotel at night if you don’t wish as there is both restaurant and bar on-site.

Need a place to work or just stay in touch with home?  Wi-fi in the room is free.  And, if you are traveling with your pooch, dogs are welcome.

The Ace is dedicated to keeping low rates (under $100 per night) even at the last minute. But with the small number of rooms we recommend you book early to get the type of room that you want on your preferred dates.  There are only a handful of the rooms with private baths.

The hotel is in a now-attractive brick building at 2423 1st Ave.  in Seattle. They can be reached at 206.448.4721 or go to  www. enquire.sea@acehotel.com for additional information or to book a reservation.    For photos, go to www.acehotel.com and click on Seattle.
