We used Traction Dog Training Club's board and train program with Mara to address our dog's reactivity towards other dogs, and get a solid obedience baseline. The program was a huge success, Oliver's reactivity significantly lessened, and the provided, continued training Mara provided to us, has helped him continue to progress. He has a solid grasp of basic obedience, and is eager to train now. During the training we received daily video progress updates, and the debrief session was extremely valuable in passing on everything we needed to know. We were provided a comprehensive continued training document, with videos included, which has been invaluable. Mara has been extremely kind, professional, responsive, and accommodating before, during, and after the program. I can't say enough about how fantastic of an experience it was, and I would recommend Mara and TDTC to anyone.

One dog spent a year and a half in foster care (with some great training) after being rescued from the streets. The other was pulled from a shelter after an unknown amount of time on the streets, terrified and refusing to interact with anyone. We have had a mix of training needs for Satomi to address. Our biggest problem has been defensive behavior when we have visitors. Because of the times, practice receiving visitors was limited for a while. Satomi devised a plan for addressing their greeting behaviors, and we’ve seen great improvement! Leash training and crate training are also greatly improved. Satomi taught us how to walk our dogs so they walk with us, rather than taking us for a walk! Satomi’s approach addresses the dogs’ emotional state with positive reinforcement. Her methods are effective! In addition to modifying our dogs’ behaviors as we wish, they are both much more confident and settled. Satomi is a pleasure to work with. She communicates well and modifies plans when needed, and has a gentle and steady way of working with both the dogs and we humans. Thank you Satomi!
